The Illucid Piece is a repeating diamond-lattice pattern, fully abstract, designed to support the kind of lucid-but-empty awareness named in its title. The word is a Physi-Tual coinage — "illucid" — between illuminated and lucid.
Where The Opalescent Piece radiates from a center, The Illucid Piece spreads. There is no focal point. The eye moves across the surface without resting. This is the pattern's purpose: a visual analogue of the mental state lucid dreamers describe at the threshold of awareness.
Available as a yoga mat, throw pillow, or towel — soft formats where the pattern can be lived with rather than studied.
