About this work
Out shows a single figure seated inside a geometric cavern formed of pyramids, symbols, and angular forms. The figure is composed; the surrounding geometry is severe.
The piece reads as the moment after a passage — the figure has come out of something, and the cave is what they emerged from rather than what holds them. In Physi-Tual terms this is an out-of-body composition: the geometry is the body, and the figure is what stepped beyond it.
Pen and ink on paper. Available as canvas prints, wood prints, and phone cases. The phone case format brings the piece into daily carry — a portable threshold image.
