Julie Barkly is the author of In the Midst of Life's Future, the forthcoming Physi-Tual novel from AMC Publishers. Her debut brings a distinct voice into the Physi-Tual catalogue — separate from the foundational works of Austin M. Collings, but built on the same premise: stories that refuse to separate the physical from the spiritual.
AMC Publishers signed Barkly's manuscript as part of its expansion of the Physi-Tual catalogue beyond its founder's own work. The book was selected for its grounded handling of metaphysical material and its willingness to follow characters into territory most fiction avoids.
